Flamethrowers proved a lethal way to clear basements and buildings, while sniper teams turned streets into deadly killzones and light mortars provided indirect fire support. All these teams make great additions to a Bolt Action force, providing you with extra tactical depth and flexibility in your Platoons.

Miniature sculpted by Dimitris Kampourides. With truly stunning numbers of gun and rocket batteries on hand, the Red Army could call down a rain of fire to support their advances or prevent enemy breakthroughs. Similarly, they enjoyed excellent close air support, courtesy of the legendary IL-2 'Sturmovik', a truly lethal aircraft designed exclusively for low-level strikes. All this firepower needs someone to direct it onto its target, though - enter the Forward Observer Team. Two men armed with the most dangerous weapons of all, binoculars and radio, this small team gives any Soviet Rifle Platoon a seriously heavy punch on the Bolt Action tabletop.

Miniature sculpted by Wojtek Flis. Although only really dangerous to lighter armour, anti-tank rifles were man-portable and packed a surprisingly heavy punch - just what the Soviet Naval Brigade needed!
